I am having trouble signing-in/staying signed-in.

You need to clear any existing cookies from SSSbusiness.

Please follow these instructions:

In Chrome,

  • click the 3 dots in the tip right corner of the browser.
  • Then click "Settings".
  • Under "Privacy and security," click "Cookies and other site data".
  • Click "See all cookies and site data"
  • Then in the search box type "SSSbusiness".
  • Then click the recycle bin icon alongside any cookie set by SSSbusiness.

Your cookies set by us will now be clear.

Also it is advised to add "sssbusiness.co.uk" to your allowed list. To do this:

In Chrome,

  • click the 3 dots in the tip right corner of the browser.
  • Then click Settings.
  • Under "Privacy and security," click "Cookies and other site data".
  • Next to "Sites that can always use cookies" click "Add".
  • Enter "sssbusiness.co.uk" and click "add"
  • Then close Chrome and the reopen Chrome and log in to our site again.

You should now be able to stay logged in. If you are still being thrown out and back to the login page your IT department may need to carry out this procedure at a higher level for you.

I have ordered a course but I have heard nothing from you yet...

As soon as you order a course from us you will be sent an immediate email with your login details. If you have not received an email it is either in your junk folder or your organisation has blocked our email. It is important that you whitelist orders@ssslearning.co.uk and support@ssslearning.co.uk to enable us to communicate with you. This is very important as any updates to the course you have will be communicated to you via your admin email address.

If you have ordered a course and have heard nothing within minutes, please call us on 029 2059 7000 or click to Live Chat with us at the bottom of this page. We do not recommend you email us as our reply will most likely be blocked until the blocking issues are resolved. We can, however, let you know your login details via Live Chat until such time as any blocked emails issues are resolved.

Is the training per person, or for my whole organisation?
The licences are split up into different bandings according to the number of staff/volunteers you would like to receive the training.

Each licence is valid for 12 months.

Click the SEE PRICING option on each course page, next enter the number of users you require and click CALCULATE PRICE you will be able to see the pricing structure for each licence bracket for that particular course.

I've requested a password reset but haven't heard anything. Why?
After you request a password reset, you should receive a confirmation email almost immediately. If you do not receive the email it is possible that your mail service has blocked our email. Please add support@ssslearning.co.uk to your email white list and then try resetting your password again.

How many times can a User access the training or attempt the assessment?
A user can access the system an unlimited number of times during the licence period.

Some of my team are not on email. Does this matter?
If some team members are not on your organisation's email system, simply post the single access key and our training web address https://training.sssbusiness.co.uk on your noticeboard. You and your employees can use this information to access the service. Users will need an email address of some type e.g. @yahoo, @gmail etc. to register their account.

Alternatively, you can use an email address that doesn't exist if your staff member or volunteer does not have an email address. For example, another@aredaleservicesltd.co.uk. The disadvantage with this is that they will not be able to receive a password reset email if they click the password reset link, Other than that we do not use email to communicate with trainees at any time.

How do my staff access the training materials?
They should go to:

Why should I choose SSS Learning's online training over paying a specialist consultant to visit my organisation?

A consultant's session is fixed on a particular date, time and location, and is limited by number in each class either for reasons of room size or provision for classroom cover. This can leave some staff without training. Our secure online training can be accessed 24/7/365 from any PC, MAC, Tablet or Smartphone at any location with an Internet connection.

The courses will be available throughout the 12-month licence period, something that a consultant could not cover, without significant cost.

If staff receive training from a consultant, followed closely by a legislation or policy change, how do they know that change has come into effect? Our online system is kept up-to-date with any changes notified to you and the courses updated.

Our training provides you with a meaningful evidence base. Your Admin dashboard allows you to monitor each individual member of staff's progress, number of attempts at taking the assessment and an audit trail for CPD evidence.

How do I issue a training course?

In the admin dashboard click on the orange ISSUE A TRAINING COURSE button towards the top of the screen, then tick the courses you would like users to do. Next scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the blue SHOW ME THE EMAIL TEMPLATE button. The email template will then be created. Then when you click anywhere on the template it will highlight in blue, then just right click your mouse and copy. Then paste it into your own email and send out to your team. The template email has the instructions for staff. They just have to go to https://training.sssbusiness.co.ukenter their email and paste in the access key from the template email, then they set up their account.

Can I archive users that have left my organisation?

If you have been using the system for more than one year you can archive users from your admin dashboard. On the admin home page click the button archive trainee accounts. Then just tick the check boxes for the ones you want to archive and then click on archive the selected users at the bottom of the page.

Can users change their email address used to set up their account?

If users login under their current address they can go into account settings and change their email. Alternatively, in the admin dashboard you can edit email addresses under "Show list of trainees". How long does it take to complete a course?

The length of course varies according the topic. On any course page scroll down to the HOW LONG DOES THIS COURSE TAKE TO COMPLETE button.

How often should training be carried out?

Fire Safety Awareness in Office Settings: The certificate for this course is valid for 1 year.

Fire Warden in Office Settings: The certificate for this course is valid for 1 year.

Intermediate Food Safety and Hygiene (Level 2 Equivalent): The certificate for this course is valid for 3 years.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for Businesses : The certificate for this course is valid for 1 year.

Prevent Duty: The certificate for this course is valid for 1 year.

What happens when I sign up?

When a organisation subscribes to the service, they receive their secure admin login (https://admin.sssbusiness.co.uk). From the admin dashboard, you simply copy the course invitation email template and send it to staff. This means there is no complicated account set up, as staff set up their own account (https://training.sssbusiness.co.uk) in just a few minutes.

As soon as staff start the training, you will then see progress, results and CPD certificates at your admin dashboard.
