Dr Gwyndaf Williams MBBCh MRCGP

“ Responding appropriately to situations require effective first aid skills, they're an invaluable first step to keep children and adults safe until professionals can take over. It's about that initial response being timely and safe both for the patient and the responder. ”

Dr Gwyndaf Williams MBBCh MRCGP qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2001. He has practiced as a GP in a busy community practice for the last nine years, the latter five years as GP Principal.

His specialist area of expertise is in child health in the context of family medicine and he is practice lead on Safeguarding and Child Protection. His interest in this area of specialty led to his contribution in a systematic review group specialising in Child Protection matters, where he presented the review findings at the Royal College of Paediatricians.

Dr Williams is committed to promoting best practice, demonstrated by his ongoing commitment and involvement in training medical students. He collaborated with us on the content of our First Aid Basics In An Educational Setting online training course.

“ As a GP I know the value basic first aid skills can play in the initial response to accidents and responding to emergency situations, so I was delighted when SSS Learning approached me to consult on their First Aid Basics training course. ”
