In the UK, 1 in 5 children are living with and are exposed to domestic violence and abuse. Children living in such situations face risks to their safety, education, emotional health, wellbeing and development.
Witnessing any form of domestic abuse can seriously harm children and young people, this is recognised as a form of child abuse. Whilst the impact and risks vary, all are a cause for concern.
Statistically, all educational settings will have children attending who are living with domestic abuse. As such it is essential all staff understand and can recognise the risk factors and are skilled to implement protective factors to safeguard those at risk.

Our courses meet all the requirements previously contained in the 'level system'.
Unless that is the language used by your safeguarding tri-partnership's (the replacement for LSCBs) training policy, training is not currently described in terms of levels. This system was replaced by matching competencies to roles as defined in the intercollegiate framework.
The content of our courses is updated when any changes in legislation, statutory guidance and/or inspection frameworks are issued, ensuring you fully comply with the latest requirements.
Disparity in cascading training is removed. Continuity, through the individual assessment of learning, gives leadership assurance that practice is informed by robust evidence.
Provides a full training audit trail for governance and to evidence compliance with statutory requirements.
